Simoncelli aiming to realise potential
Marco Simoncelli and the Gresini team plan to use the second 'half' of the MotoGP season to deliver on the huge promise shown in the first 10 races of the year by the Italian and the satellite Honda squad. The Italian has been the subject of much controversy in 2011, having collided with several frontrunners and been accused by both Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo of being over-aggressive and causing avoidable accidents with them. Simoncelli has also demonstrated strong pace on the factory RC212V however, producing two pole positions in Spain and Holland and starting from the front row a total of six times.
